There’s no doubt that hard rock and metal music are the best types of music to listen to while exercising. A recent study by Velotric Bike found that the top 3 metal bands people listen to for a good workout are the following.

Millennials made up 51 percent of the survey respondents, who were asked to listen to music while exercising, according to Velotric. Spotify’s application programming interface (API) was also used to gather workout songs and genres, and 33 playlists were created with 5,411 songs by 1,508 artists.

According to the report, 93 percent of people must listen to music while working out. The Top 5 artists participants said they play during a workout are Michael Jackson, Eminem, Queen, Drake, and Metallica.

The most popular workout genre was pop, with 42 percent of participants listing it as exercise music. Hip-hop and rap followed, followed by classic rock and heavy metal.

We can get behind those choices. Of all the heavy metal artists fitness fanatics listen to, 25 percent chose Metallica, 22 percent chose Pantera, and 22 percent chose Iron Maiden. Three classic rock artists were on the list: Queen, Pink Floyd, and The Beatles.

As 38 percent of the participants cited the beats per minute (BPM) as the essential component of their music, Velotric’s study also found that people listened more to genres with a higher average beats per minute (BPM) while working out. The bass was the second most important aspect, followed by the tempo.

There are several reasons why people might listen to heavy metal music while exercising at the gym. One reason is that the fast tempo and intense energy of heavy metal music can help to provide a boost of motivation and help people push through their workouts. The aggressive, driving rhythms and influential rich metal vocals can also help people feel more energized and focused while working out. In addition, some people enjoy the intensity and emotion of heavy metal music and find that it helps them to stay engaged and motivated while exercising. Overall, the choice of music while working out is a personal preference, and what works for one person may not work for another. Some people find that heavy metal music helps them get in the right mindset for a challenging workout, while others may prefer more calming or energizing music.
