Arch Enemy with Johan Liiva’s vocals soars again!

Heavy metal fans it is time to mosh ‘n’ all night long! Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy is reissuing their first two albums ‘Black Earth’ from 1996 and ‘Stigmata’ from 1998 in both vinyl and CD formats. It has been over two decades since these two classic albums were released, and this marks the first time they will be available in physical format in years.

These albums represent a significant part of the band’s history and legacy, as they featured vocalist Johan Liiva before he left the band in 2000. Many fans consider “Black Earth” to be one of the most influential metal albums ever made, with songs like “Bury Me an Angel” still being sung by fans at live shows today. Similarly, ‘Stigmata’ was also met with critical acclaim upon its release, and includes fan-favorite tracks such as “Beast Of Man” and “Black Earth”.

“When I first got Arch Enemy together in 1995 and we recorded the first album Black Earth during 9 hectic days at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, I obviously never imagined the impact and trajectory that this band would have,” says Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott of the reissues. “All these years later I’m still very proud and happy with our first record and the follow-up Stigmata. Very cool to see them relaunched again on CD and lovely vinyl. Let the killing begin!” Support the reissues through this authentic link here: https://linktr.ee/archenemy

Arch Enemy’s debut album “Black Earth” remains one of the most impressive and acclaimed metal albums in history, and for good reason. For the Amott brothers, Michael and Christopher, this was their first chance to make an impression on the world as prolific metal musicians. They had big dreams of success, but they were also well aware of how much competition they would have to face among the heavy metal scene back then.

To create a record that would stand out among their peers, they poured all their creativity into “Black Earth,” capturing its raw energy with intense riffs and powerful vocals that were unlike anything else in the genre at that time. With its dark themes and aggressive soundscape, it swiftly became an instant classic among metal fans around the Earth.

‘Stigmata’, is widely regarded as one of their best works and one of the greatest albums in their genre. The album builds on the darkness of its predecessor, ‘Black Earth’, and takes it further with heavy riffs, intense drumming and a more complex guitar work. On ‘Stigmata’ there’s something for everyone to enjoy; from progressive tracks like ‘Bridge of Destinty’ to faster-paced songs like ‘Tears of the Dead’, each track carries a unique emotion and energy which keeps listeners engaged throughout.

The lyrical content on ‘Stigmata’ also stands out from other records in the melodic death metal scene; while there are traditional lyrics about war, rebellion and violence, Arch Enemy manages to make them feel personal by giving an insight into their original vocalists Johan Liva very own inner struggles.
