SXSW 2023 Lineup Features Armani White, iLe, Thao & More

On Wednesday, South by Southwest announced the first round of 191 bands set to perform at the March 2023 festival. The festival is still five months away, but preparations are well underway.

Philadelphia rapper Armani White, who achieved TikTok success with the hit song “Billie Eilish,” will join Puerto Rican singer iLe, whose rich vocals add a beautiful hue to the Adrian Quesada collaboration “Mentiras Con Cariño.” Atlanta-based post punk band Algiers is coming to town for the festival as well as North Carolina-based Bloodshot Records artist Sarah Shook and the Disarmers. Thao Nguyen, who split with Get Down Stay Down and is now performing solo as Thao, is also on the bill as is Spill Tab, who just performed at Austin City Limits Music Festival.

The festival has secured a strong lineup of international artists. The Orielles, Max Cooper and Jazz Re:Freshed DJs are among the many British acts heading to the fest. South Korean artist Balming Tiger and rapper Beenzino will represent their country, as will Japanese punk outfit Otoboke Beaver. Filipino group Ena mori is also on board for this year’s show, as are Mexican cumbia fusion group Son Rompe Pera.

ILLfest is an annual festival in Austin, Texas, that features music and art performances. Inspired by the likes of Kraftwerk, this spectacle will make you appreciate electronic music, live installations, and trippy visual art.

This festival is special because everyone gets to embrace themselves, at the festival you will see plenty of individuals with interesting, colorful, and peculiar outfits and artistic make-up. This festival brings a multi-sensory experience, the place becomes almost like a magic place for those who love electronic music and peculiar vibes.

There are four stages during this festival. At this festival, you can have all your senses heightened easily and it can be through the live electronic music or through seeing art being created in real-time, or also watching the light installations built.

The founder of this festival is Jason Millsap and he came up with this concept because he loves art and music and got raised going to music festivals but always felt like something was missing at the festivals. His idea was that at his festival he wanted people to be able to interact not just with music but also with interactive art and have an experience of one of a kind.

Rocklahoma will place this Labor Day weekend (September 2–4), happening at Pryor Creek Music Festival Grounds in Pryor, Oklahoma, just outside of Tulsa. This year, Rocklahoma will take place to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the world’s largest Rocklahoma for a long time. The event will bring some of today’s top artists and rock groups, including KORN, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, SHINEDOWN, EVANESCENCE, MEGADETH, SEETHER, THREE DAYS GRACE, CYPRESS HILL, JELLY ROLL, and many more.

Produced and created by AEG Presents and founders of the Pryor Creek Music Festival, the Rocklahoma concert series features the new wave of rock artists and established artists, performing on three outdoor stages. Other nonprofits that are part of the campaign from Planet Roo & Propeller include REFORM Alliance, NRDC, Human Rights Campaign (HRC), HeadCount, and Oxfam International. 

Bonnaroo’s Music & Arts Festival is scheduled to make a comeback this year. The album lineup will host the renowned Tool, Stevie Nicks, J. Cole, 21 Savage, The Chicks, Machine Gun Kelly, Roddy Ricch, Herbie Hancock, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. This event is best known for showcasing a highly eclectic lineup of musicians.
