The ’90s series is now available on Netflix and brings back many of the stars from That ’70s Show, including Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith as Kitty and Red Forman. Other familiar faces are Topher Grace (Eric Forman), Laura Prepon (Donna Pinciotti), Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso), Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart), Wilmer Valderrama (Fez), Tommy Chong (Leo), and Don Stark (Bob Pinciotti). There are also some unexpected cameos! However, Danny Masterson’s character Hyde won’t be making an appearance; the actor is facing sexual assault charges for allegedly raping three women. The jury failed to reach a verdict in his trial last month, so he will face a retrial in March. The new series has no mention of Hyde at all.

Throughout That ’90s Show’s eight episodes, you discover what happened to many of the Point Place teens since the 1970s. Yet, Hyde’s fate remains unknown. It seems like the right move: considering That ’90s Show is set 15 years after the end of That ’70s Show, it makes sense that the character wouldn’t be on anybody’s mind; and there isn’t really a place in a light-hearted sitcom to remind viewers of Masterson’s trial. According to PEOPLE, none of Masterson’s costars have spoken on his absence from the show.

After that ’70s show, what happened to Fez and Jackie?

Prior to its launch, it was announced that Jackie and Kelso had gotten married once again. In the series opener, “That ’90s Pilot,” the pair of them can be spotted in the Formans’ kitchen, as their son is now spending time with Eric and Donna’s daughter. They appear to have reverted to their usual pattern of behavior, with Jackie taking no time to start giving Kelso a piece of her mind. It is also mentioned that they are getting remarried, suggesting that they simply could not stay apart for any extended period. Later on in the third episode titled “Lip Smackers,” Kitty visits Fez at his salon to try talking him out of seeing her neighbor. Fez then shares with her what happened between him and Jackie while they were vacationing at Hedonism Resort in Jamaica: “I found her on the phone one night… with Michael”, he narrates. “She left me there.”
