Evil Dead Rise Trailer: You Won't Believe What Just Happened 3

The day is finally here: the official Evil Dead Rise trailer has arrived and is positively nauseating. According to Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground), this film will be filthy if the trailer is to be believed. He promised gallons of blood and repulsive kills.

The action in Rise moves from the woods to the city, as the story revolves around two estranged sisters whose reunion is cut short by flesh-possessing demons, causing them to face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable as they face a primal battle for survival.

Here’s the trailer:

There will be blood in the film, and we cannot wait to see the destruction in store. Cronin wasn’t kidding when he teased the sheer amounts of blood via Twitter last year.

Traditionally, the movies follow the story of Ash Williams, a young man trapped in a cabin in the woods with a group of friends. As they try to survive the night, they are attacked by demonic forces that possess their bodies and turn them against each other.

This new rendition film stars Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, and Nell Fisher.

Rob Tapert produced the film (Ash vs. Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe). Executive producers include Sam Raimi, horror icon and Bruce Campbell, as well as John Keville, Macdara Kelleher, Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Romel Adam, and Victoria Palmieri.

On April 21, 2023, this soon to be cult classic masterpiece will be released exclusively in theaters.

The Legacy of the Evil Dead Films

The films have become a beloved part of horror movie history. They have influenced many other horror movies and have gained a loyal fan base. In 2013, a remake of the original film was released, and in 2015, a television series called Ash vs. Evil Dead premiered on the Starz network. The series followed the continued adventures of Ash Williams as he battled against the undead.

The first movie was released in 1981 and was directed by Sam Raimi. It was a low-budget film but quickly gained a cult following due to its over-the-top gore and black humor. The movie spawned two sequels: Evil Dead II (1987) and Army of Darkness (1992).

If you’re a fan of horror movies, these films are a must-see. They may be gory and disturbing, but they are also filled with hilarious moments and memorable characters. So, if you’re feeling brave, give them a watch and see if you can survive the undead.
