Jedi Survivor: Intense Gameplay Reveals Human Dismemberment In Star Wars 2

Star Wars is one of the most iconic and celebrated franchises in history, known for unforgettable characters, epic battles, and the famous lightsabers. These laser swords are crucial to the universe, known for their immense power and ability to cause severe damage.

The Strict Rule Against Human Dismemberment in Disney Games

However, the 2019 release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did not feature any human dismemberment in its gameplay. This was due to a strict rule from Disney and Lucasfilm, which limited such depictions to significant moments like Luke Skywalker losing his hand in The Empire Strikes Back.

Jedi: Survivor to Feature Human Dismemberment in Gameplay

Fortunately, the upcoming Jedi: Survivor game from Respawn Entertainment is set to break this long-standing rule. In a recent gameplay video, the protagonist, Cal Kestis, was seen slicing off a stormtrooper’s leg during combat, exciting fans with the game’s intense and realistic depiction of lightsaber combat.

A Sign of More Realistic and Mature Depictions of the Lucasfilm Universe

This inclusion of human dismemberment may signify that Disney and Lucasfilm are loosening their restrictions on what can be depicted in SW video games. The change could lead to more mature and intense depictions of lightsaber combat and a fresh approach to the Star Wars universe in future games.

Respawn Entertainment Earns Trust from Disney

Respawn Entertainment’s previous hit game, Jedi: Fallen Order, earned the studio more trust from Disney. With this trust, the studio gained the freedom to depict human dismemberment in Jedi: Survivor and deliver another fantastic game for fans of the franchise.

The Future of Star Wars Gaming

The inclusion of human dismemberment in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor marks a promising sign for the franchise’s future. While it remains to be seen how frequently such scenes will appear in the game, fans eagerly anticipate the chance to experience lightsaber combat in a new and exciting way.

Targeting a More Adult Audience

Disney may be targeting a more adult audience with their SW games, as seen in the success of the gritty and mature Disney+ series, The Mandalorian. With Respawn’s newfound freedom to depict human dismemberment, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is sure to be a hit with franchise fans looking for a more mature approach to the Star Wars universe.

What Lies Ahead

As the release date for Jedi: Survivor approaches, fans can’t wait to see what the game has in store for them. While it’s uncertain whether Respawn will break Star Wars rules, the inclusion of human dismemberment is a promising sign for the franchise’s future, as it marks a significant departure from previous Star Wars titles.

If the information is believed, the game is feature complete, which is a significant milestone that suggests the release date may not be as far away as some believe.

The update comes from Tez 2, who claims the leaked files from earlier this year point toward the game being feature complete. This would align with previous rumors about the game’s development and a potential reveal and release date in 2024, although Rockstar Games has a history of delays, so a 2025 release cannot be ruled out.

It’s important to note that this information is based on speculation and leaked files and has not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games. Therefore, it should be taken cautiously and not considered a concrete update until the company confirms.

While the release of Grand Theft Auto VI is still a long way off, fans of the franchise can look forward to an even more immersive and entertaining experience with this latest installment. The future of Grand Theft Auto is looking brighter than ever before.

METALLICA invades Fortnite with ‘Master Of Puppets

METALLICA invades Fortnite with ‘Master Of Puppets

Master of Puppets” doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. The Metallica song has seen new life twice so far this year. Most recently with it being included in Fortnite as a purchasable emote. As if that wasn’t enough, the popularity of the show Stranger Things served up another boost for the song by featuring “Master of Puppets” in its soundtrack.

This is awesome, and it’s great for metal too! A statistic from Fortnite’s demographic found that 60% are between the ages of 18 and 24. This means the majority of people playing the game weren’t even born when Master Of Puppets came out. So they may not have heard of Metallica yet. Now this opens up the door to a whole new generation of fans who are interested in learning more about metal music. That same statistic noted that Fortnite has 83 million monthly active players. Which again – lots of new potential metal fans in there! So cool!

The following footage of the emote will show you what it looks like. As for that one person on Twitter, they made a good point in saying “they made that Stranger Things song into a real song.”

Developer Grants Dying Fan’s Wish: Early Access to Marvel’s Midnight Suns

When a fan’s life was nearing the end, Firaxis, 2K and Marvel came together to deliver Marvel’s Midnight Suns to him before he passed away.

When he was 14-years-old, this guy, Luke Wiltshire, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. As his story tells, then last year he found out the news that there were no more curative options available for him and that he would be at end of life care.

After he received the news, he told his family that he had three desires: to have a puppy for his mother to care for while he was gone, to eat a hog roast, and to play Midnight Suns.

Last year, the charity Solving Kids’ Cancer offered to help Wiltshire’s family with anything they might need, after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The only problem was that the release date for the game was still a full year away—they were raising money for clinical trials for rare cancers, and there were no approved drugs at that point.

The post from the charity’s CEO- Gail Jackson- quickly made its way around the internet and eventually reached Marvel’s Midnight Suns publisher 2K’s social team.

2K, Marvel and Firaxis Save The Day For A Fan Wanting To Play Midnight Suns

When 2K, Marvel and Firaxis asked to help with post-launch development, they didn’t have a playable build of the game available. With only a short amount of time to get it ready for Luke, they put staff members on the project “day and night” – which ultimately led to them developing a playable build in just 24 hours.

Asim Tanvir, 2K’s social media manager at the time, volunteered to personally deliver a gaming laptop to the fan in Wiltshire. The moment Tanvir handed him the laptop, he started crying tears of joy.

Bill Rosemann, 2K Games, and Firaxis developers all joined a video call with Wiltshire to speak about the game. Additionally, Wiltshire was able to play and evaluate the first act of the game firsthand.

“2K, Firaxis and Marvel did all of this not for publicity, nor for any credit, or any personal gain. Their focus was about Luke, and him only,” wrote Jackson on the charity’s website. “They did this purely from the purity of heart that drives the very best of humanity. They put all workloads and personal plans aside and worked solidly over that period to achieve what should have been unachievable, on behalf of a complete stranger.”

Three weeks after being rescued, Wiltshire passed away at the age of 23. The legacy he left behind is memorialized in the Marvel game credits and a carving of “Luke W was here” on a tree in Abbey Village. Wiltshire commented that he had been “forever immortalized in Marvel.”

Modern Warfare 2 Gets Awesome New Moshpit Playlist! 6

Call of Duty’s newest playlist, the CDL Moshpit is finally here after an extended wait. Known for it intense gameplay and quick rounds, Call of Duty has made itself a staple in multiplayer with its tried-and-true modes like team deathmatch, domination, and search and destroy. It’s also made waves with innovative game mechanics like killstreaks and perks which have become staples in the series. That said, there are some who don’t like to play casually and want to be challenged – which is why we released the CDL Moshpit playlist that is sure to keep you busy for hours on end.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 just added the MW2 CDL Moshpit Playlist for those who are curious about competitive ranked play and want to start practicing. This mode is 4v4, meaning it’s competitive with Hardpoint, Control, and Search and Destroy rules as well as friendly fire enabled. There are certain restrictions with these rules, such as restricting the weapon mods and attachments that can be used. It’s not too restrictive, which is good news for anyone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of time getting ready before playing in this mode. It’s also good practice if you plan on playing Ranked Play when it releases later this year. This playlist is available now and can be found on the multiplayer menu.

It was announced that Treyarch will be developing the competitive side of Modern Warfare 2. The developer is known for its work on the Black Ops franchise, but has contributed to other games as well. Treyarch famously did the zombies in Call of Duty: Vanguard when the game had various development issues. It’s unclear what this means for Treyarch’s next game, but it should be released within the next few years.

What do you think of Modern Warfare 2’s CDL playlist? Let me know in the comments or hit me up on Twitter at @noisefromthepit. I’d love to discuss it with you!

Although Angel, who stars as Billy Batson in the Shazam! franchise, was excited for his audience to finally see Shazam!: Fury of the Gods, that excitement has since diminished due to constantly shifting nature of the movie business right now.

“Man, I feel really good with Peter and James coming on board,” Angel said the following “They’re obviously super talented and super passionate and I love how they’re creating this ten year plan. I think the DC Universe, there’s a lot of special movies to come, and I’m ready for Shazam to be integrated with some other superhero movies. We’re not here to talk about Shazam, but I’m excited.”

Fury of the Gods, when Billy Batson and his foster siblings are forced to get back into action and fight the Daughters of Asal, they have to stop them from using a weapon that could destroy the world.
