I am a music enthusiast with a deep love for the energy of crowded venues, loud music, & passionate fans. I have a diverse background that includes private security, talent buying, festival security planning, & media relations. I've also worked as a camera operator for various projects, including music videos featuring notable artists like Bernz, Tech N9ne, & Krizz Kaliko. Additionally, I am a camera operator for Full Moon Features, where I contribute to the production of horror movies.

Master of Puppets” doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. The Metallica song has seen new life twice so far this year. Most recently with it being included in Fortnite as a purchasable emote. As if that wasn’t enough, the popularity of the show Stranger Things served up another boost for the song by featuring “Master of Puppets” in its soundtrack.

This is awesome, and it’s great for metal too! A statistic from Fortnite’s demographic found that 60% are between the ages of 18 and 24. This means the majority of people playing the game weren’t even born when Master Of Puppets came out. So they may not have heard of Metallica yet. Now this opens up the door to a whole new generation of fans who are interested in learning more about metal music. That same statistic noted that Fortnite has 83 million monthly active players. Which again – lots of new potential metal fans in there! So cool!

The following footage of the emote will show you what it looks like. As for that one person on Twitter, they made a good point in saying “they made that Stranger Things song into a real song.”

A Little History On How Fortnite Came To Be

Fortnite is an online game that is set in a world where sudden natural disasters have caused chaos. The game is made up of three distinct modes that share the same general gameplay and game engine. The first mode, Fortnite Battle Royale, is a battle royale game in which up to 100 players. With the goal being you fight to be the last person standing. In Fortnite: Save the World, up to four players will fight zombies and defend different objects from their fortresses in a cooperative environment. And finally, there’s Fortnite Creative, an environment with complete freedom for players to create worlds and battle arenas.

Save the World and Creative were released in 2017 as early-access titles, while Battle Royale was released on December 6, 2018. The Save the World and Creative versions have been successful for Epic Games, and Fortnite Battle Royale has become a cultural phenomenon with more than 125 million players in less than a year. Fortnite has generated $9 billion in gross revenue up until December 2019.
