Black Metal Legends Dark Fortress Announce Retirement and “The Cosmic End” Tour!

I am a music enthusiast with a deep love for the energy of crowded venues, loud music, & passionate fans. I have a diverse background that includes private security, talent buying, festival security planning, & media relations. I've also worked as a camera operator for various projects, including music videos featuring notable artists like Bernz, Tech N9ne, & Krizz Kaliko. Additionally, I am a camera operator for Full Moon Features, where I contribute to the production of horror movies.

To our dismay. The Black Metal legends Dark Fortress (formed in 1994) are unexpectedly calling it quits after nearly thirty years of dropping Black Metal classics . With that being said, Dark Fortress will do a tour one final time in May of 2023. But only in Europe. The Spirit and Asphagor will be joining them for the ride as direct opening support before the influential band sadly disbands for good. So to all the metal heads that are able to attend these final Dark Fortress tour dates, this is your absolute final chance to do. You can peep the European Dark Fortress “The Cosmic End” tour dates and their full statement below via V13.net.

Full Dark Fortress Statement:

“We are hereby announcing the end of Dark Fortress,” stated the band. “This has been coming for a while, and it’s been an extremely hard decision. But since we did not want to simply let the band fall apart, we decided to end Dark Fortress with a bang, properly and in dignity, something that we owe not only to our fans and to all the people who have supported us for over two decades, but something that we also owe to ourselves.

“So we are proudly announcing our final tour together with co-headliners The Spirit and special guests Asphagor. Come and let’s celebrate one more time. This will be your last chance to see Dark Fortress live.”
