ACL Festival 2021 Dates Announced

AH!, there’s a glimmer of hope for concerts and music festivals.

As things stand right now, the Austin City Limits Music Festival is set to return to Zilker Park as an in-person experience this October.
Last year’s festival was dropped due to COVID-19 and ended up as a virtual online event on Youtube, but in a brief statement on ACL’s website, organizers shared their plans to push ahead for an in-person event this year.
“We can’t wait to see you Oct. 1-3 & 8-10, 2021 back in Zilker Park,” the statement reads.
“Until then, stay safe, take care of each other,” it added while encouraging people to sign up for updates about this year’s festival. Tickets are not yet on sale.

This year’s ACL signifies the 20th anniversary of the legendary festival just outside of downtown Austin.
People who purchased tickets for last year’s festival before it was canceled could hang on to them, ACL earlier said, to “lock-in access to (the 2021) festival at 2019 prices.”
The 2020 festival was a virtual event held from Oct. 9-11 and featured free performances of famous sets from ACLs in the past. It featured performances from musicians such as Paul McCartney, Radiohead, and Willie Nelson.
If it does go ahead, this year’s festival would provide a much-needed roar for the local area. In 2019, it brought $291 million into the Austin market.
Organizations of large-scale events in Texas have expressed optimism that such events could return to normal by the fall.

With the state of Covid-19 vaccinations being administered on a large scale, this very much is more than just a dream for music lovers everywhere. It very much is a viable possibility.

So for now, hang tight until more details emerge!

I love music. I love crowded venues, loud music, and sweat-soaked fans. I love the sound of a venue opening its doors to the public.

Hey there! I have a wealth of experience in the entertainment and private event industries, having worked in various roles over the past 20 years. I have a private security background and have received training in defensive strategy, Krav Maga, festival security planning, and emergency response. I've worked at some fantastic concert venues and festivals, such as Emo's East, Stubb's, ACL Festival, Bonnaroo, and SXSW. I've also been fortunate to work in the box office for the Circuit of the Americas and the Germania Music Amphitheater music venue.

In 2014, I developed a passion for all things media-related and began exploring content creation and concert photography opportunities. I have no formal training in these areas, but in 2017, I decided to take it to the next level by pursuing a degree in the arts, specifically in radio, television, and film. I am currently a multimedia journalist for the student life department at ACC. I have received a scholarship from the Austin Film Society.

I've been blessed to have been mentored as a talent buyer under the legendary Mark Lee of 462 Concerts (now known as Live Nation) in Dallas, Tx, for nearly a decade. I've also had the opportunity to work as a camera operator for the Full Moon Features Puppetmaster sequel: Doktor Death and filmed multiple music videos, including SSB's feature single with Bernz, "Insane," and the Dirty Wormz dub hop single with Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko "2INCH REEL KILLA".

I truly believe in capturing the essence of life and representing it in a creative effort. Overall I'm passionate about my work and excited to share my experience and skills with others.
