Rob Zombie is pushing forward with his vision of The Munsters movie reboot. He’s been sharing concept art and storyboards for the project, which he says will be a much darker take on the popular ’60s series.
“I wanted to make it as dark and creepy as possible,” Zombie said. “It’s not going to be a comedy. It’s going to be a horror movie.
“Some random set construction happening today. These sets are going to be absolutely insane,” Zombie stated, serving up nine slides of the interior sets.
The dedication to detail is detectable, not merely in explaining how appreciated the original series is but in influencing the way in which stories are conveyed by establishing the times and environment in which the events and characters take place.
The attention to detail is unmistakable, not just in the forest of praise given to the originating series but also in helping to set the mood by showing how the house in which the characters live is furnished with unique knick-knacks.
Other slides use a stairwell to descend to stained glass windows, the living room, dining room, and library/reading room, plus a staircase leading to a coffin and an unfinished arched hallway.
Here, you will see various chairs and sofas at their disposal, along with floor coverings, lamps, portraits, wall hangings, tables, flowers, candles, and other decorative items. Check them out in detail below.
