SXSW Film Festival Headliners Announced
The SXSW Film Festival has announced its first wave of films and headliners, and it’s an impressive lineup. The festival will occur from March 10-19 in Austin, Texas. A Dungeons & Dragons adaption directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will open the festival. Among the notable titles are Evil Dead Rise, the new entry in Sam Raimi’s horror franchise, Problemista, Julio Torres’s directorial debut starring himself and Tilda Swinton; and Flamin’ Hot, Eva Longoria’s documentary on Frito-Lay’s origins. This year’s SXSW Film Festival is sure to be one of the most exciting yet, with plenty of major and rising names, leaving something for everyone. Whether you’re a fan of big-budget blockbusters or independent cinema, there’s sure to be something for you at this year’s festival.
