L.A. Rats is the new supergroup featuring bassist Nikki Sixx (Mötley Crüe), vocalist Rob Zombie and his guitarist John 5, and drummer Tommy Clufetos (Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath). The band came together to cover “I’ve Been Everywhere” by Geoff Mack for the upcoming Netflix movie Ice Road due out on June 25. The movie’s soundtrack also will feature contributions from artists like Jason Isbell, Miranda Lambert, and Tim McGraw.

The song has been penciled in together of the key cuts to be featured on the new soundtrack for the Netflix film The Ice Road starring Liam Neeson. The film is about to arrive on June 25 with the soundtrack dropping the same day.

It’s fairly easy to attach the dots between the collective with John 5 currently serving as Zombie’s guitarist while drummer Tommy Clufetos has been a part of Zombie’s band within the past. Sixx, meanwhile, contains a long-running friendship with John 5 and they’ve shared the stage together at shows over the years. John 5 also helped out writing material for the Motley Crue film adaptation of The Dirt.

The globe-trotting track “I’ve Been Everywhere” was initially penned in 1959 by Geoff Mack and has been covered often, with Hank Snow making it a chart-topping country hit in 1962. Johnny Cash, Lynn Anderson, Asleep at the Wheel, et al. have also covered the song over the years.

Even though the L.A. Rats are a gaggle of hard rock musicians, The Ice Road soundtrack leans heavily country with Tim McGraw, Jason Isbell, Miranda Lambert, Carly Pearce, and more filling out the tracklisting.

News of the supergroup began to spread Wednesday as Zombie, Sixx, and John 5 all shared the L.A. Rats logo on their social media accounts. it’s not been revealed if the group will record additional music beyond the lone soundtrack contribution that’s set to arrive tomorrow.

I love music. I love crowded venues, loud music, and sweat-soaked fans. I love the sound of a venue opening its doors to the public.

Hey there! I have a wealth of experience in the entertainment and private event industries, having worked in various roles over the past 20 years. I have a private security background and have received training in defensive strategy, Krav Maga, festival security planning, and emergency response. I've worked at some fantastic concert venues and festivals, such as Emo's East, Stubb's, ACL Festival, Bonnaroo, and SXSW. I've also been fortunate to work in the box office for the Circuit of the Americas and the Germania Music Amphitheater music venue.

In 2014, I developed a passion for all things media-related and began exploring content creation and concert photography opportunities. I have no formal training in these areas, but in 2017, I decided to take it to the next level by pursuing a degree in the arts, specifically in radio, television, and film. I am currently a multimedia journalist for the student life department at ACC. I have received a scholarship from the Austin Film Society.

I've been blessed to have been mentored as a talent buyer under the legendary Mark Lee of 462 Concerts (now known as Live Nation) in Dallas, Tx, for nearly a decade. I've also had the opportunity to work as a camera operator for the Full Moon Features Puppetmaster sequel: Doktor Death and filmed multiple music videos, including SSB's feature single with Bernz, "Insane," and the Dirty Wormz dub hop single with Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko "2INCH REEL KILLA".

I truly believe in capturing the essence of life and representing it in a creative effort. Overall I'm passionate about my work and excited to share my experience and skills with others.
