New Order Announced as First Artist Ambassadors
New Order will launch a new Manchester multi-venue music festival and conference, Beyond The Music, next month with a show at the South By Southwest Music Festival (SXSW). The festival is set to take place across multiple venues in Manchester in October and is described as a “co-operative,” with an integrated decision-making structure to create actions and exist as more than just a talking shop.
New Order to Perform at SXSW Launch Show
New Order’s launch show at SXSW will take place on March 13th at the Moody Theatre and will feature appearances from The Orielles and Loose Articles. Beyond The Music founder, Oli Wilson, said that New Order embodies the spirit of Manchester and shares the same commitment to innovation as Beyond The Music. New Order added that they are supporting Beyond The Music to bring change and innovation to the music industry, particularly in mental health, which is close to their hearts.
New Order US Tour
New Order announced plans to play this year’s SXSW along with four other shows in the US. The band will kick off their tour at The Factory in Dallas on March 9th and will also perform in San Antonio, Houston, and New Orleans on March 18th. Any remaining tickets can be purchased here.
