The Houston Police Department has recently made a major breakthrough in the murder case of late Migos rapper, Takeoff. After an extensive investigation, the police have arrested a suspect in connection with the crime. The suspect was taken into custody on Friday in Houston and is currently being held at a local detention center. The identity of the suspect has not yet been released to the public, but authorities are confident they have apprehended the perpetrator responsible for Takeoff’s death.
The police have arrested a 33-year-old man who they believe is responsible for the slaying of Takeoff. Chief of Police spoke to the media Friday, announcing the arrest.
Early morning November 1, Takeoff was killed after he and Quavo were partying. They were at a bowling alley celebrating, but then had an argument that led to a physical altercation with one individual shooting another.
According to police, Taguari was not involved in the argument and he wasn’t armed. He is an innocent bystander and was hit by gunfire. Not only that, investigators found that 29 people were on scene when the shooting happened – and none of them talked to the police. They’re still asking people who were there at the time to come in and talk with them.
According to the coroner, Takeoff was shot in the head and torso — and pronounced dead at the scene. Two other victims were injured, but not fatally.
TMZ acquired footage of the incident from 2:30 AM — you can see and hear Quavo talking with someone, and Takeoff is a few feet behind him. There’s some sort with a discussion about basketball before shots start going off.
TMZ obtained a second angle that showed the man in black just seconds before gunfire was fired, where he is shown to be armed. Multiple people were armed at this event.
