The new Megadeth single Night Stalkers is from the band s upcoming album, The Sick, the Dying, and the Dead featuring Ice-T. The nearly seven-minute track is filled with tasty riffs from frontman Dave Mustaine and dynamic leads from shredder Kiko Loureiro. Both of the new singles from the new album have lengthy, multi-faceted arrangements, but Night Stalkers stands out for its Ice-T feature, as the legendary rapper lays down a spoken-word verse midway into the track.
Megadeth is producing a trilogy based on their music videos. For example, Guns N’ Roses Use Your Illusion, but Chapter II will be released with the Night Stalker music video. The videos depict the tragic origin story of Megadeth mascot Vic Rattlehead and introduce the series s operative.
Megadeth will be telling a three-part story through their new music videos (similar to Guns ‘N Roses Use Your Illusion ) with Chapter II being their Night Stalker video. The videos depict the tragic origin story of their mascot Vic Rattlehead and start the series’ plotline.
The Sick, the Dying, and the Dead! arrives on September 2nd after much anticipation and some contention. Bass tracks on the album were played by Steve DiGiorgio following the ousting of David Ellefson (whose parts were thereafter removed); however, Megadeth-alum James LoMenzo has since stepped in as the band s full-time bassist.
“For the first time in a long time, everything that we needed on this record is right in its place,” Mustaine said in the initial press announcement for the LP. “I can’t wait for the public to get hold of this!”
You may catch Mustaine and Megadeth on tour this summer when they team up with Five Finger Death Punch for a single United States run. Dates start with the group’s first-ever stop in August in Portland, Oregon, and conclude with a show at an arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
