About The Band

Hailed by Guitar World as “the most important contemporary metal band in the world,” They have ascended from humble beginnings in basement shows and gritty DIY venues to headlining arenas. The Richmond, Virginia-based band has garnered a level of reverence comparable to musical trailblazers like Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth. Timeless anthems such as “Laid to Rest,” “Redneck,” “Walk with Me in Hell,” and “Now You’ve Got Something to Die For” have secured their place in the heavy metal canon.

The band’s discography includes several milestones, such as New American Gospel (2000), which introduced heavy metal to the new millennium, and As the Palaces Burn (2003), which ranks among Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. Ashes of the Wake (2004) became their first RIAA-certified gold album—a remarkable achievement for a contemporary extreme metal band. Sacrament (2006), named Revolver’s Album of the Year, also went gold.

Wrath (2009) marked the beginning of their enduring collaboration with producer Josh Wilbur, followed by the diverse Resolution (2012) and the explosive VII: Sturm und Drang (2015), both of which debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200. The band’s 2020 self-titled album, featuring their first new material in five years, added instant classics with Lamb of God songs “Memento Mori” and “Resurrection Man” to their repertoire and eight other powerful tracks. Revolver, Metal Hammer, and Loudwire included Lamb of God on their year-end Best Albums lists. The momentum continues with Omens, the band’s most aggressive and ambitious album to date.

Band Members:

D. Randall Blythe – Vocals
Mark Morton – Guitar
Willie Adler – Guitar
John Campbell – Bass
Art Cruz – Drums
