I watched the first episode and was a bit bored. Matt was good, though. He always is. He carried the first episode. The young queen has a slight annoying presence, and I am not really bothered if she takes the thrown. That is not the best start to a series.
After hearing that jon snow will have a spin-off sequel in the form of a season 9 this will only make me happyer. If the show prison break has managed to come up with a new season after so many years, the best series of all time can do this too to get a redemption arc.

The house of the Velaryons is very ancient. Its roots go back to the Valyrians. Some of the Velaryons formed families with the Targaryens before the War of Conquest. The blood of ancient Valyria flows in their veins. They retained the characteristic Valyrian appearance – light skin, silver hair and violet eyes.
