Coheed & Cambria has announced an extensive North American tour with Deafheaven where they will perform their 2007 album Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow in its entirety. The tour kicks off in late April and runs into late May, and then picks up again in September and October. Therefore, Coheed and Deafheaven are going to be pretty busy through 2023.

In the press release, Coheed & Cambria also announce the release of the video for “Beautiful Loser,” which depicts the struggles of Nea and Nostrand, two underdogs battling an evil empire in Vaxis II and while the song’s title refers to the band’s beginnings – frontman Claudio Sanchez and guitarist Travis Stever had been in a band called Beautiful Loser, named after a Leonard Cohen book.

Coheed and Cambria is an American progressive rock band from Nyack, New York, formed in 1995. The band consists of Claudio Sanchez (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Travis Stever (guitar, vocals), Josh Eppard (drums, keyboards, backing vocals), and Zach Cooper (bass, backing vocals). They are known for their unique blend of progressive rock, emo, and heavy metal, as well as their concept albums which tell a science fiction story called The Amory Wars.

Coheed and Cambria’s first album, “The Second Stage Turbine Blade,” was released in 2002, which was followed by several successful albums such as “In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3,” “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness,” and “The Color Before the Sun.” The band has also released a number of non-concept albums, including “The Unheavenly Creatures” and “Vaxis – Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures.

Coheed and Cambria have built a dedicated fanbase over the years, known as the “Coheed Navy.” Their live shows are known for their high energy and dynamic performances, featuring elaborate light shows and Claudio Sanchez’s distinctive vocals. They have toured extensively, both as headliners and as support acts for bands such as Slipknot, Iron Maiden, and Dream Theater.

Their latest album “The Unheavenly Creatures” was released in 2018 which was highly praised by critics and fans. The band continues to tour and release new music, solidifying their place in the progressive rock scene.
