The newest season of Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2 has a unique bonus for players in the form of an unlockable Deadpool character outfit that can be acquired by finishing special challenges in-game over the next few weeks.
Epic Games unleashed the next episode in its battle royale game, Fortnite, and with it appears all-new cosmetics that can be unlocked via a Battle Pass (Season Pass). New chapters and seasons in Fortnite always pack a few shocks, but maybe none are more exciting right now than the reveal of Deadpool. That’s right, it seems Marvel has once again teamed up with Epic Games to bring the Merc with a Mouth into the game.
Deadpool was teased in the Fortnite Chapter 2- Season 2 gameplay trailer and prominently emphasized in the end card of the Battle Pass trailer. The theme of Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 2 is secret agents and while Deadpool isn’t a spy, he’s a deadly mercenary/assassin, so it still counts. Regrettably, he isn’t part of the seven main outfits you’ll receive for leveling up the Battle Pass. It appears that he will alternatively be unlocked by achieving special weekly challenges throughout the season.
Clicking on the Vent area from the main hideout room in Fortnite will take players to Deadpool’s room/bathroom where they can log into his computer and check out the Deadpool-centric weekly challenges. There was no word as to when the Deadpool skill will be unlockable or how many tests players will have to perform to obtain him.
This isn’t the first time Marvel and Epic Games have teamed up. In the past, Fortnite has treated special in-game events for both Avengers movies. Various Marvel cosmetics, including a Black Widow outfit, were also open for purchase last year.
According to a new report, the PlayStation 5 could cost Sony Interactive Entertainment about $450 per unit. Recommending the consumer console will be $500 when it hits this holiday season. Unless PlayStation wants to eat manufacturing costs upfront and put the next-gen piece of hardware somewhere within $400-450, which is certainly conceivable. The report comes the way of Bloomberg. It records that scarce components have increased the prices of creating the console to the aforementioned price point, which has pushed Sony into a difficult position as it looks to fight with the Xbox Series X on this front.
The Takashi Mochizuki report writes that — typically — Sony likes to finalize what the price of the console will be internally by February ahead of mass production in the spring. Nevertheless, for now, the company is taking a “wait-and-see approach,” probably meaning it’s waiting to see how component scarcity developments in the coming months and how much the Xbox Series X costs.
As for the scarce components themselves, apparently, Sony is having difficulty getting a supply of DRAM and NAND flash memory, as both are currently in high demand by smartphone producers.
As you may know, the PS4 hit back in 2013 at a very wallet-friendly price point of $400. And given that the console was expected to cost $381 to manufacture. This was not only a low price point, but one Sony nearly made money on at launch. However, if the Playstation 5 is looking to replicate this gross margin, it will need to around $500. Which Macquarie Capital analyst Damian Thong thinks is a bad idea.
“Consumers will benchmark their expectations based on the PS4 Pro and PS4,” said Thong “If Sony prices above that, it would likely be to balance a need to offset higher materials cost, against the risk to demand.”
Of course, all of this information, and the speculation on top of it, should be taken with a grain of salt, as any report. At the moment, Sony hasn’t commented on the report, and it likely won’t. The PlayStation 5 makers rarely comment on rumors.
Grand Theft Auto Online players have a new mode to experience now in the online game thanks to the latest weekly update. The familiar game mode called “King of the Hill” that’s found in all sorts of other competitive games is now in the Grand Theft Auto game where players are split up into teams and have to fend off others to maintain control of an area until they’re declared the winners.
Rockstar Games announced the release of its new mode in the same weekly announcement where you find all the new bonuses and other interesting features that have come to GTA Online. There are seven different maps that you’ll play King of the Hill on in GTA Online, but other than that, it’s a pretty straightforward King of the Hill experience if you’re used to playing that mode in other games.
“Lay your claim to the throne in King of the Hill, a brand-new mode where up to 16 aspiring monarchs across 2-4 teams wrestle for royal ascension,” Rockstar Games said about the new mode. “Grab your weapon of choice, head for the high ground and assert your dominance in seven different maps spanning the fine state of San Andreas.”
If you want to play King of the Hill in GTA Online, you can find it in a few different ways. Visit the “Featured Series” button on the loading screen, find that same icon on your map, go to the “Rockstar Created” section of your online jobs, or pulling up your in-game phone and checking the “Quick Job” list. Anyone who plays the game mode now that it’s available will get twice the normal amount of GTA$ and RP, but that bonus is only live until October 16th.
Unlock the terrifying Slaughter Mask in Red Dead Online free by playing GTA Online anytime from now and December 12th
Once you’re done playing a few games of King of the Hill, you can also get the mask that’s seen above in Red Dead Online, assuming you’ve already linked your social accounts between the two games. That mask will be available until December 12th, so there’s no rush to get it if you’re hooked on King of the Hill.
GTA Online’s new King of the Hill mode is now live with the bonus going on until October 16th.

Stan Lee, the Comic Book Legend Behind Marvel, Dies at 95
Legendary comic book writer and editor Stan Lee has passed away. He was 95.
Lee, the most famous figure in American comics, started his comics career in the 1940s and is widely recognized with revolutionizing superhero storytelling by co-creating (largely with the late Jack Kirby) the Marvel Comics Universe in the 1960s.
The co-creator of comic book legends like Spider-Man, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, and the X-Men, Lee is credited with popularizing the flawed hero, or characters with complex, human personalities. This came in stark contrast to the superhero archetypes of the Golden Age of comics, who were typically flawless muscle-bound god-like figures.
Born Stanley Lieber in 1922, Lee was raised on Errol Flynn movies and dreamed of one day writing the “Great American Novel.” He joined the newly-formed Timely Comics in 1939 — a partnership that would shape the pop culture landscape, as Timely ultimately evolved into Marvel Comics.
The Accomplishments of The Marvel Comics Legend Stan Lee
In 1971, The U. S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare asked Lee to help generate public awareness of teen drug abuse, and Lee wrote a three-part story in The Amazing Spider-Man to call attention to the problem.
He was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995. Lee received a National Medal of Arts from President George W. Bush in 2008.
Stan Lee Had A Huge Role In Hollywood As Well
His imagination, business acumen, and innovative storytelling propelled Marvel Comics from a small subset of a larger publication company, into a multimedia conglomerate purchased by The Walt Disney Company for $4 billion in 2009.
Over decades of such productions, Lee has also become the king of the cameo, appearing in dozens of Marvel-related film and TV projects. He can next be seen in Black Panther, out next week. Lee filmed a number of cameos with Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn prior to his death, so it is not clear when his final film appearance for Marvel will be.
Lee has also done a great deal of charity work, often through the Stan Lee Foundation, a nonprofit for literacy, education and the arts.
Lee’s wife, Joan, passed away in 2017. He is survived by his daughter, JC.
