Bud Light River City Rockfest returns for its sixth year with Nine Inch Nails, Primus & more

 

The legendary Nine Inch Nails will headline the 2018 River City Rockfest on September 22 at the AT&T Center for an epic lineup for a fest.

As if Trent Reznor’s NIN wasn’t enough to get your lips wet, check out the rest of this friggin fantastic lineup: Primus, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Chevelle, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Clutch, Hellyeah, and Suicidal Tendencies.

Wizard World Makes Some Changes to Its 2018 Lineup

Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) today announced the return of its Austin show on September 21-23, as part of several schedule changes for 2018 that will increase the total number of events to 16 as well as move several shows to alternate dates and locations during the year. In addition to the ninth annual event at the Austin Convention Center, the Tour will return to  Tulsa, Okla., and Sacramento, Calif.; three cities (Winston-Salem, N.C., Springfield, Mo., and Montgomery, Ala.) will see inaugural events.

 

Wizard World Comic Con Madison had originally been scheduled for the September 21-23 dates; that show will now be held November 30-December 2.

 

The summary of the new events is as follows:

  • New show in Winston-Salem, N.C., August 3-5, Benton Convention Center

  • New show in Springfield, Mo., October 26-28, University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center

  • New show in Montgomery, Ala., November 9-11, The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center

  • Return to Tulsa, Okla., September 7-9, Cox Business Center (moved from Oklahoma City, originally scheduled Oct. 26-28)

  • Return to Austin, Texas, September 21-23, Austin Convention Center (event was not on original 2018 schedule)

  • Return to Sacramento, Calif., October 5-7, Cal Expo (event was not on original 2018 schedule; previously this event was held at Sacramento Convention Center)

  • Madison, Wis., moved to November 30-December 2, Alliant Energy Center (originally scheduled Sept. 21-23)

Excited For A Breathtaking 132 FIlm Features Announced For SXSW

It’s the 25th Birthday Of SXSW Film, And It Just Dropped A Killer Lineup!

Today came the announcement for the SXSW 2018 film lineup. It’s officially, about 6 weeks away. This years film festival will highlight a whopping 132 features. The screenings are starting March 9th and going on until March 18th. The festival will be featuring 44 films from first-time filmmakers, 86 astonishing world premieres, 11 North American and 5 U.S. Premieres. Talk about a ton of movies to be screened! Imagine what it was like for the programming team, they had to watch 2,458 different films that were submitted personally by filmmakers.

Spike Lee will follow an increasing number of impressive speakers including Rian Johnson, Darren Aronofsky, and Barry Jenkins, in the nearby SXSW Conference.

Just in case you were wondering, you don’t necessarily have to have an SXSW Film badge to watch any of these films. According to the SXSW website, if seats still remain after the badges enter, single admission tickets will be sold for $15 starting 15 minutes before showtime. Tickets can be purchased from The Paramount Theatre, Vimeo Theater at the Austin Convention Center and ZACH Theatre.
