SXSW 2022 Film Festival Winners List

The 2022 jury and extraordinary honor champs of the 29th SXSW Film Festival were revealed on Tuesday night out of Austin, Texas. Include films getting jury grants were chosen from the story and narrative rivalries. Juried grants for shorts, plan and XR experience was likewise reported.

Each of the 2022 film classifications will be qualified for class explicit crowd grants, which will be confirmed by the bookkeeping firm of Maxwell Locke and Ritter. Online screenings and crowd grant casting a ballot will close at 9 a.m. CT on Monday, March 21. Champs will be reported using sxsw.com that week.

SXSW Film Festival Brings Electricty To Everyone In Attendance

Jane Pierson, VP, Director of Film. said “It was extraordinary to gather together in person again after so long and we are so grateful to the filmmakers and audience who joined us at SXSW 2022 in Austin, Texas for our first in-person event since 2019, The program was celebrated across the board and tonight we get to give a special shout-out to the award winners.”

Include films getting Jury Awards were chosen from the Narrative Feature and Documentary Feature Competition classifications. SXSW additionally declared any remaining juried segments, including Shorts, Design, and XR Experience Awards. SXSW: Disney+ Comes To The Long Center For Free Family Viewing

Disney+ is bringing a fantastic, free to the public outdoor screening event to SXSW on Saturday, March 12 at the Long Center. No SXSW badges are required!

SXSW is one of the most eventful festivals of the year. To continue the celebration, The Long Center for Performing Arts will be hosting free family viewing of Disney+ at its performance space on Saturday, March 12th from 2-6 pm. Enjoy all your favorite Disney+ shows, meet friends old and new, and dance around to some great music!

XXXTentacion Premiering Eye-Opening Doc at SXSW Film Festival 2022

The 2022 SXSW Film Festival, which takes place in Austin, Texas from March 11-19, has blazoned the slate of films set to screen at the festival. It includes Look at Me!, a Sabaah Folayan – directed documentary about rapper XXXTentacion.

A synopsis for Look at Me! reads “ Look At Me! explores how Jahseh Onfroy tapped raw gift, a gift for connecting with disaffected youth, and a mastery of social media to fashion himself into SoundCloud rapper XXXTentacion. He is one of the most streamed artists on the planet.”

In 2018, some unknown persons kill rapper XXXTentacion in Florida at age of 20. At the time of his death, the rapper faced multitudinous legal charges, including aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering. He contended not guilty and denied the allegations.

In early 2017, The Fader began working on a documentary about rapper XXXTentacion. Fader Films produce Look at Me!, the publication announced. SXSW cited Darcy McKinnon and Chloe Campion as directors.

It will release later this year. In an interview with Billboard, Campion said: “We wanted to create something that had the feel of being made before he died.

Slipknot, Limp Bizkit Rob Zombie, Anthrax top Rocklahoma 2021 lineup

This Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3 through 5, some of the biggest names in alternative metal and hard rock will appear at the annual Rocklahoma music festival in Pryor, Oklahoma. Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and Rob Zombie will be among the top-billed headlining acts, with Chevelle, Halestorm, Anthrax, Falling in Reverse, and numerous other musicians whom top musicians have given them a spot in the lineup.

Slipknot’s M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan said in a statement, “Cannot wait until we play Labor Day Weekend in Pryor, Oklahoma. Our first time at a festival is always very special. We all know that this will be one of those days. See you all soon. Stay (sic).”
