OMG! Danzig is hitting the road later this spring and he’s bringing along an insanely awesome pairing of bands as support!
Texas black metal battalion NECROFIER is embarking on a run of live dates in support of DANZIG, with CRADLE OF FILTH and CROBOT! This is gonna be sick!
I don’t know about you but with this super talented combo of amazing artists, this makes what is set to be the tour of the year. Personally looking forward to the Austin stop and hope to catch up with the Texas natives from NECROFIER.While I was able to catch Cradle of Filth back last October here in Austin and even photographed it for our friends at Underground Nation. They have always been a good group to see and hope that they bring the same energy to this tour. I’ll have more on both of these great bands very soon so stay tuned for that.
NECROFIER is supporting their debut full-length record, ‘Prophecies of Eternal Darkness,’ which is out NOW! Stream/order/download HERE.

Glenn Danzig is a metal icon for sure. If you did not know he formed the Misfits in 1977, Samhain in 1983, and Danzig in 1987, he succeeded in fusing hardcore punk, gothic metal, blues rock, and horror punk into a respected—and headbanging—form of art.
An auteur, Danzig contributes further than just his unmistakable, dark, reverberative voice to his music, but also guitar riffs, bass lines, drum sections, and keyboard warbles.
And the legend was born, as was the cult of fans who follow his every lyrical trek into horror, death, erotica, religion, and gore. For confirmation, look no further than a song like “ Wicked Pussycat,” which purrs, Six-foot pussycat, I like the way you swing your tail/ Big black witch cat, yes, you cast a real strong spell/ Feline succubus, got your fangs inside her throat. Danzig makes it relatively clear what his heartstrings are, again and again combining them into different cultural platforms like comic book characters and music videos.
The important thing for Danzig is to stay on the cutting-edge. However, he tells Noisey, “ change it, “ If it gets boring.
Notably, the May 7th date in Ontario, California, will feature Danzig playing his entire 1992 album, Danzig II: Lucifuge, front to back and Tiger Army will be joining for just that show. Head to Danzig’s website for more information and see the full routing of dates below.

Texas Frightmare Weekend, the event we look forward to the most every year, is back with a bloody vengeance. For those who are uninitiated, Texas Frightmare Weekend is the Southwest’s horror convention full of amazing indie horror films, guest panels, themed parties, and more.
This year’s announcement came in the form of a late Christmas present to commemorate its 16th year of the convention.
We were given several announcements of guests highlighting the beloved Director Wes Craven. Let me tell you now, you’re going to want to get your tickets for this year’s convention early. It is certain to be a packed house. First up on the list of announcements, we have a Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors reunion taking place. Hopefully, this will entail a full-on panel Q & A because this is going to be awesome.
First up we have Brooke Bundy, who plays the mom of a young Patricia Arquette that we all love to hate. Next up is Rodney Eastman, the quiet shy boy. He played one of my favorite characters in Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and he was also featured in the movie I Spit on Your Grave. Of course, a Dream Warriors reunion wouldn’t be complete without Ira Heiden, Penelope Sudrow, Ken Sagoes and Bradley Gregg, and this punk rock bad bitch Jennifer Rubin.
Now, what kind of reunion would it be if it didn’t have its original protagonist and the villain that kept up late at night drinking coffee and putting cigarettes out on our arms to stay awake? If I lost you then I’m sorry but you still can’t help but be excited to see that Heather Langenkamp and the legendary Robert Englund will be making their way to Frightmare as well.
Now whether this is a nod to the legend that Wes Craven is or not but that’s not the only reunion we are getting this year. Now brace yourselves because you may end up feeling a little woozy on this next round.
The Scream franchise is also coming to Texas Frightmare Weekend. With the announcement of Matt Lillard and Skeet Ulrich teaming up once again, I couldn’t help but be stoked. It actually prompted me to rewatch the entire franchise. Announcement after announcement kept pouring in. But then it happened. The news dropped that Jamie Kennedy and Neve Campbell will be joining them. I just about flipped my wig. I have always wanted to see the original cast come back together. I’m beyond excited here. This could very well be one of those moments where everything comes full circle. And if not, at least we get some awesome new stories from this group of talented actors from the Scream franchise..
Now as I mentioned, a lot of the announcements revolved around Wes Craven films. However, there are also some amazing guests that are going to be on deck this year. Maybe there are some Marvel and Walking Dead fans who are excited about Ross Marquand being there. Also, horror icon Bill Mosley will be there along with his Devils Rejects costar, Ginger Lynn. Apollo Creed will also be in the house. That’s right, Carl Weathers, the star of hit films like Predator and costar in the Disney Mandolorian series is slated to be there as well.
He’ll be joined by the iconic stuntman Dick Warlock (Halloween).
If you have ever seen the classic 80’s movie Monster Squad, there you’re in for a real treat as well. There may even be a panel being planned, who knows. With the fact that Carl Thibault, Duncan Regehr, Michael Reid Mackay, Ryan Lambert, and Andre Gower are all under the same room, never say never.
Who else is looking forward to going to Texas Frightmare Weekend? Tell us who you are most excited to see in the comments. Until next time, sleep tight and don’t let the nightmare bite.
Rocklahoma music festival is full of so much energy, but between the music, the food, and the vendors; that’s only a portion of what makes up this festival. Rocklahoma is easily considered to be a festival of the people.
For many, this music festival is their much anticipated and well-deserved getaway for the year. They eagerly wait for tickets to go on sale. For the lineup to be revealed, and even get excited just packing to make it there. It is a stress reliever and a second home for many.
Not only are there many walks in life that come to Rocklahoma, but there are their very own communities within each other that help makes this place so awesome. As this was my first year there, I did not know what to expect. I’ve been to many festivals before ranging anywhere from Bonnaroo to Lost Lands, to even the Gathering of the Juggalos. Each festival has its own little vibe.
Rocklahoma and its people very much express their wild side and even adopt a little bit of the Mardi Gras culture. Just about anywhere you go in these giant campgrounds, you will find an abundance of Jell-O shots and Mardi Gras beads. So be fair warned, they don’t come free, you gotta work for them. Needless to say, I did earn my beads this year. I have zero shame. It is very safe to say I have found a new home inRocklahoma.
