I am a music enthusiast with a deep love for the energy of crowded venues, loud music, & passionate fans. I have a diverse background that includes private security, talent buying, festival security planning, & media relations. I've also worked as a camera operator for various projects, including music videos featuring notable artists like Bernz, Tech N9ne, & Krizz Kaliko. Additionally, I am a camera operator for Full Moon Features, where I contribute to the production of horror movies.
Elvira,

A New Elvira Movie Could Be In The Future!

It looks like we’ve been getting more and more updates on Elvira these past few weeks and I’m not complaining. First, we heard that Netflix AND Shudder both turned down an Elvira revival series (which sucks) and it was just yesterday that we passed along the details on a new Elvira pinball game (which is awesome!). And today we have word from Cassandra Peterson herself that she is still working hard on an all-new Elvira movie

Peterson says:

I think it’s time for me to focus on the projects that matter, which would honestly be my autobiography and one more Elvira film.

What can fans expect from the new film?

My biggest issue that I’m having right now with it, I wrote a very detailed treatment of the whole movie. It’s funny, I just spoke to one of my writers, Sam Egan, who worked on Mistress of the Dark, and told him about it, and he was making suggestions too, just the balance of horror versus comedy. I want a lot of comedy in it, but you need a horror element too. And I’m trying to work that horror element. It’s hard to balance those two. It wouldn’t seem like it. It’s when you have a lot of comedy, you can seem like you’re making too much fun of the horror, but it needs a horror element. The major thing that’s holding us up right now is how much horror to get in there among the comedy. It’s a lot to pack in a movie. We could do all of what I have right now and the movie would be five hours long. That’s the problem. Got to squeeze it all in there in like an hour and a half.

I don’t know about you, but I’d kill for some more Elvira in my life. Whether it turns out to be a new Netflix series or a sequel to ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK, whatever it ends up being, I’ll take it. Let’s just hope these aren’t pipedreams that will never come true.

The original ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK was directed by James Signorelli from a screenplay written by Sam Egan, John Paragon, and Peterson. Eric Gardner and Mark Pierson produced and Peterson’s co-stars included W. Morgan Sheppard, Daniel Greene, Jeff Conaway, Susan Kellermann, and Edie McClurg. Until we hear more on this possible sequel, you can snag the original film for yourself or a loved one on Blu-ray HERE!
