CANNIBAL CORPSE continues to utilize Violence Unimagined in its press duties in support of their widely much-loved Death Metal full-length, which came out last year by means of Metal Blade Records. Comprising 11 tracks, Death Metal is an uncompromising exhibit of furious death metal played with power and shrewdness and augments the already phenomenal legacy of Metal Blade Records.

Despite their continued excellence, the one substantive change to CANNIBAL CORPSE is that the band now includes lead guitarist Erik Rutan, joining bassist Alex Webster, founding drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz, guitarist Rob Barrett, and vocalist George  Corpsegrinder  Fisher. Known for his work in Morbid Angel, Ripping Corpse, and most notably fronting the mighty Hat, Rutan adds monumental power to the CANNIBAL CORPSE sound.

Additionally, he has developed a reputation as one of the most in-demand metal artists, having previously put out four CANNIBAL CORPSE albums (in addition to Violence Unimagined), alongside Soilent Green and Goatwhore. Performing live as a guitarist since 2019, in 2020 he earned full membership.
