Black Metal Kings Dark Funeral Reveals Decibel Magazine Tour 2023!

Dark Funeral has been an influential force to be reckoned within the heavy metal music scene since 1993, when Lord Ahriman and Blackmoon founded the legendary Sweden band to wreak havoc across the realm of metal via anti-christian messages . The past decade has seen the band’s sound evolve from their early black metal roots to a more varied blend of heavy metal and death metal, while still maintaining their signature symphonic sound.

The band has released seven full-length studio albums since 1993, including their most recent album ‘We Are the Apocalypse’, which was released through Century Media Records in March of 2022 to critical acclaim. Dark Funeral has also toured extensively, performing across Europe and North America as well as in countries such as Venezuela and Japan. Joining successful tours with the likes of Cannibal Corpse, Immortal, Deicide and Belphagor. As Dark Funeral’s legacy continues to live on through their unique sound that keeps influencing countless upcoming bands over the years. They have been credited with helping to spur a resurgence in black metal during the mid-1990s as well as inspiring a new generation of extreme metal fans worldwide.

Presently, Dark Funeral has just revealed across social, that they’ll be joining the 2023 “Decibel Magazine” tour! It’ll feature Dark Funeral headlining with current metal heavy weights such as Cattle Decapitation, 200 Stab Wounds, and Blackbraid as direct support! The Metal Blade Records sponsored 2023 “Decibel Magazine” tour will kick off in Santa, Ana, California on Thursday, May 11th at The Observatory . And will be fully concluding on Saturday, June 10th in Los Angeles, California at the Regent Theater. The longest-running metal tour in North America is back! The Decibel Magazine Tour returns in May as Swedish black metal legends Dark Funeral headline Decibel’s now decade-plus annual trek. Tour support comes from California progressive death/grind heroes Cattle Decapitation, Ohio death metal destroyers 200 Stab Wounds and Adirondack atmospheric black metal phenom Blackbraid.

“North America, we will soon meet again. And this time we’re coming back to headline the epic Decibel Magazine Tour—what an honor,” says Dark Funeral guitarist/founder Lord Ahriman. “We have already prepared a new and absolutely amazing setlist. You will be in for a massive treat this time, no doubt.”
